INCLUDES 1.3 MP CAMERA, GPRS, VIDEO PLAYBACK, AND MOBILE TRACKER.
Just when you thought dual-SIM handsets couldn't get any cheaper, SICT Mobiles has launched yet another pocket-friendly phone. The China-based mobile maker's iV128 costs just Rs 1325 and includes dual-SIM, dual-standby functionality. That means, it won't be able to handle two concurrent calls, but who can complain at that price?!
Unlike it's relatively more expensive cousin, the iV168, the iV128 has a smaller 2" display sporting pixel dimensions of 176×144. However, the low resolution is compensated by a 1.3 megapixel camera and micro-SD card support for up to 8 GB. Other features include GPRS and Bluetooth A2DP connectivity options, wireless FM, flashlight, and a handy call-recording feature.
The tiny screen can display videos in 3GP, MP4, and AVI formats, whereas audio is supported only through MP3. The phone also includes a 1050 mAh battery which should suffice for a phone of this calibre. To make it play well with the rural markets, the iV128 incorporates a keypad with dual-language support (English and Hindi).
Going by the press shots, the phone does look quite impressive for its price. It's a good thing then that SICT includes a mobile tracking feature as standard as well.
